Margherita Ramella is the curator of Apoteca Pescaia 1522 and co-founder of La Pescaia Resort, where she personally oversees the interior design and visual identity of the place.
Her journey has been shaped by years spent between Italy, the United States, and Namibia, along with constant travels since childhood, especially throughout Africa, but also to many other parts of the world. This international experience has helped define a keen eye for authentic materials, local knowledge, and quality craftsmanship.
The selection at Apoteca Pescaia 1522 reflects a preference for products with roots, identity, and a story to tell. Handcrafted items, independent producers, and niche brands: each piece is carefully chosen for its ability to combine care, substance, and aesthetics. A balance of research and coherence that is also evident in the spaces of the Resort, where many of the selected products naturally find their place.
Apoteca Pescaia 1522 is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, surrounded by a landscape of olive groves, woods, and silence. The shop discreetly blends into the rural setting of La Pescaia, just a few kilometers from the sea and the historic villages of the area, becoming a meeting point between nature, design, and thoughtful curation.
